Attorney Profile - Roger W. Van Deusen
Roger W. Van Deusen is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University ('65) and Case Western Reserve University Law School
('68) where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi, and the law school's Moot Court board. Since 1968 Roger has practiced in
the areas of securities law, business and corporate law, (including mergers and acquisitions) with the same Cleveland
law firm of which he and Thomas Wagner were members prior to founding their own firm on January 1, 2002. He is admitted
to practice in Ohio and Florida; the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio, U.S Court of Appeals 6th Circuit,
U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. Roger's practice has always principally been a corporate practice including
litigation in complex corporate and securities matters. Over the years, that practice has included representing many
of the same clients for over thirty years and representing new clients on litigation only basis, including class actions,
investor securities arbitrations and mediations, registered representative representation and broker representation.
Roger also serves as an arbitrator and panel chairperson for the NASD and has successfully represented individual and
corporate clients before NASD arbitration panels for over 20 years. He has tried numerous federal and state court
cases, appeared in the 3rd, 5th and 6th Circuit Courts of Appeal and participated in cases that went to the U.S. Supreme
Court. Roger and his family live in Gates Mills, Ohio.
